DONOVAN DATES!
 Donovan has added more dates to his upcoming tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of "Sunshine Superman." The trek kicks off August 30 in East Hampton, New York, and is plotted out through an October 21 show in Toronto. Get the itinerary.

THE O'JAYS vs THE DONALD! Last week The O'Jays objected to the use of "Love Train" in Donald Trump's bid for the presidency. And now, they're upset that Republican Rep. John Mica of Florida used "For The Love of Money" without their consent in a pro-Trump video. The group has sent a cease-and-desist letter sent to both violators. Get the dirty details.

AIRPLANE & FRIENDS! A new tribute band called The Airplane Family & Friends has formed that features a variety of musicians with connections to The Jefferson Airplane, The Jefferson Starship and Quicksilver Messenger Service. The group will launch a tour this December which will also feature a Grateful Dead tribute act called Live Dead 69. DEAD CELEB! TV psychic Miss Cleo has died after a battle with cancer. The former spokeswoman for the Psychic Readers Network was 53. In 2002, however, the companies behind her were sued for deceptive advertising, billing, and collection practices, and the commercials soon ended. Get the obit.

BOWIE'S LAZARUS! Lazarus, the stage production co-written by the late David Bowie, will premiere at London's Kings Cross Theatre on October 25. POKEMON GO INSANITY! A woman in Canada was arrested after allegedly firing a pellet gun at on Pokémon Go players near her home. The woman fired at least four shots from the roof of a two-story building Saturday night, police said. No players were injured but a Pokemon character was slightly wounded. Go to it now.

ELECTION SONGS PARODY SONG! Every election cycle, there's always the candidate that uses an artist's song in their campaign without permission. This time around, Donald Trump has used songs from Queen, The Rolling Stones and George Harrison. And now, some artists have gotten together for a "We Are the World"-type anthem appealing to politicians to "Stop Using Our Songs." Click here to watch the video.

1963: "Introducing The Beatles" was pressed by Vee-Jay Records, who unknowingly did not have the rights to the record. After its release in in January, 1964, Capitol Records sued VJ.
1967: The Doors perform on American Bandstand.
1969: Aretha Franklin is arrested for disorderly conduct after creating a disturbance in a Detroit parking lot.
1987: A jury in New York ruled that Morris Albert's 1975 "Feelings" was plagiarized from "Pour Toi", a song written in 1956 by French composer Lou Lou Geste.
1994: At Giants Stadium, Billy Joel and Elton John performed the first of five concerts together.
1996: Donovan was forced to postpone a comeback tour of the US when American authorities delayed granting him a waiver to enter the country because of a 30-year-old marijuana conviction in Britain. The tour was designed to promote Donovan's first album of new material in a dozen years.
