WEEKEND BOX OFFICE! It was a big flop for Ben Hur which debuted at a pitiful fifth place at the box office over the weekend. Of course, the film had a lot to live up to since the 1959 original won 11 Oscars. Meanwhile, other subpar openings included War Dogs at #3 and Kubo and the Two Strings at #4.
