1987: David Letterman convinces guest Cher to sing "I Got You Babe" just one more time with embittered ex Sonny Bono on Late Night program.
1990: In the latest issue of Newsweek , Pete Townshend says he's bisexual.

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE! Doctor Strange held on to the top spot at the weekend box office for the second week in a row. Coming in second was the animated musical Trolls, followed by the debuts of Arrival and Almost Christmas. Get the rest of the rankings.

DEAD CELEB! Singer/songwriter Leon Russell died in his sleep over the weekend at his home in Nashville. He was 74. No cause of death was given, but he had been in declining health for a number of years. Most recently, he suffered a heart attack last July. Get the obit.
