Ringo Starr and David Bowie will appear in the upcoming 2017 edition of the Guiness Book of World Records. Bowie is being recognized for posthumously setting the world record for having the most simultaneous entries in the U.K. albums chart with 19. CELEBRITY SUE-AGE! Gladys Knight has filed a lawsuit against her son, demanding that he remove her name and likeness from his Gladys Knight Chicken & Waffles chain claiming that the failing restaurants are damaging her reputation.Back in June, Knight's son was arrested after stealing more than $650,000 in sales and withholding taxes. BEATLES CANDLESTICK ANNIVERSARY! Today marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' final official concert, which took place at San Francisco's Candlestick Park. Drained by the grind of touring, the Fab Four had decided to retire from the road after their 1966 North American summer trek. They played 11 songs at Candlestick. Relive the moment.

DEAD CELEB! The pro wrestling world lost a legend on Sunday. Harry Fujiwara, aka Mr. Fuji, passed away Sunday morning. Fuji won the WWE World Tag Team Championship five times but is most famous for his role as a tuxedo-wearing, cane-carrying manager to several wrestling acts in the 1980s and 1990s. He was 82. BLUES CRUISE LINEUP!
The initial lineup of The Moody Blues' fan cruise in January 2018 has just been unveiled. Among the acts slated to perform on the high seas include Dave Mason, Jefferson Starship, Richie Furay, the Alan Parsons Live Project, Little River Band, Ambrosia and The Ides of March. The five-night cruise sets sail from Miami on January 2. WEEKEND BOX OFFICE! It was a big flop for Ben Hur which debuted at a pitiful fifth place at the box office over the weekend. DEAD CELEB! Lou Pearlman, the music mogul who launched the careers of the Backstreet Boys, 'NSYNC and LFO, among others, died Friday in prison where he was serving a 25-year sentence. He was 62. No cause of death was revealed. Pearlman was convicted of fraud in 2008 in connection with a $300 million Ponzi scheme. Get the obit.

BOB DYLAN MOVIE SERIES! A new Bob Dylan-themed movie series called Dylan on Film will take place September 21-24 at several locations in Tulsa. The series will kick off with the premiere screening of a 10th anniversary edition of Martin Scorsese's 2005 documentary No Direction Home at the University of Tulsa's Lorton Performance Center. AMBER HEARD'S DONATION! Amber Heard says she will donate her $7 million divorce divorce settlement from Johnny Depp to two charities. It will be divided equally between the American Civil Liberties Union, with a particular focus to stop violence against women, and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, for whom she volunteers. BRADY BUNCH HOUSE BURGLARIZED! NEW MOVIES IN THEATERS! New flicks to check out as of tomorrow include War Dogs (R), Imperium (R) and the remake of Ben-Hur. I have an aversion to remakes of the classics so I doubt if I will ever see Ben-Hur 2016 in order to keep my thoughts of the original intact. Click here for the rest of the new stuff.

McCARTNEY BACK TO CAPITOL! Paul McCartney has gotten back with Capitol Records, The Beatles' first U.S. label. The agreement spans from the 1970 McCartney album through his most recent release, 2013's New. Sir Paul says  "Not only was Capitol my first U.S. record label, but the first record I ever bought was Gene Vincent's 'Be-Bop-a-Lula' on the Capitol label." Get more McCartney!

DEAD DIRECTOR! Arthur Hiller, best known for directing the 1970 flick Love Story starring Ryan O'Neal, died Wednesday of natural causes. He also directed numerous episodes of TV series, including Perry Mason, Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Rifleman. Hiller was 92. Get the obit.

CROSBY TOUR KICK-OFF! David Crosby's latest solo album, Lighthouse will be released in Ocotber. And ahead of the release, he'll kick off a new North American tour tonight in South Orange, New Jersey. Click here for the dates.

It's official: Lady Gaga will star in a remake of A Star Is Born, which will be her first feature film lead role. The original A Star Is Born, released in 1937, was remade in 1954, with James Mason and Judy Garland, and again in 1976, with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. CRUISE TO THE EDGE! WEEKEND BOX OFFICE! Suicide Squad grilled Sausage Party over the weekend to remain the box office champion. ADELE HALF TIME NO SHOW! It appears that Adele will not be headlining the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show after all. She was asked to do it, but passed. DEAD CELEB! Barbara Gibb, the mother of the Bee Gees' Barry, Robin, Maurice and Andy Gibb, has died. She and her husband Hugh, a bandleader whom she married in 1944, managed their sons' early music career. Barbara Gibb was 95. Get the obit.

NEW DOOBIES ALBUM! It's been six years since the last Doobie Brothers album, but frontman Tom Johnston says his band hopes to release a new album before the end of this year. Meanwhile, the group's current tour continues into mid-November. Click here for the itinerary.

RAMPAGING DEPP! A video has surfaced that allegedly shows Johnny Depp arguing with his estranged wife Amber Heard months before she was awarded a temporary domestic violence restraining order and filed for divorce. ELVIS WEEK! The 2016 edition of Elvis Week kicked off Wednesday, but the biggest highlights are yet to come. Today's events include "Elvis 101" and a concert dubbed The Sound and Soul of Memphis. MUPPETS PERFORM! GARY ROSSINGTON UPDATE! Gary Rossington is resting at home following emergency heart surgery to repair a blockage in his heart. Rossington, the last surviving original member of  Lynyrd Skynyrd has battled a number of health issues in recent years, including a heart attack that he suffered last October. Get the prognosis. Meanwhile, Lynyrd Skynyrd will get back on the road this Thursday in The Woodlands, Texas.
