1969: Carl Wilson is indicted for failing to perform his required community service hours, imposed upon him after he opposed the draft as a conscientious objector.
1971: The Concert For Bangla Desh is held at Madison Square Garden.
1971: The Sonny And Cher Comedy Hour premieres on TV.
1988: Cincinnati radio station WCVG becomes the first US all-Elvis radio station. The format lasts a year.

GARY ROSSINGTON UPDATE! Gary Rossington is resting at home following emergency heart surgery to repair a blockage in his heart. Rossington, the last surviving original member of  Lynyrd Skynyrd has battled a number of health issues in recent years, including a heart attack that he suffered last October. Get the prognosis. Meanwhile, Lynyrd Skynyrd will get back on the road this Thursday in The Woodlands, Texas.

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE! Jason Bourne, Matt Damon's first film in the Bourne franchise since 2007's The Bourne Ultimatum, opened in first place over the weekend, shoving Star Trek Beyond into second place. Meanwhile, Bad Moms debuted at #3. Click here for the rest of the rankings.

POOPER SCOOPER APP! A new service app called The Pooper, that promised on-demand dog-poo pickup for a small fee, has turned out to be (surprise) fake. People who visited The Pooper website were told that for $15 a month for two scoops per day, or $35 a month for unlimited scoops. Watch the fake video.
