FRIDAY!

Today is Middle Child's Day. I'm the oldest of five so I'll have to call up my sister and remind her.

THIS DAY IN ROCK!
1957: Frankie Lymon leaves The Teenagers for a solo career.
1960: Pete Best is hired as the Beatles' new drummer.
1965: Jefferson Airplane make their stage debut at The Matrix in San Francisco.
1967: Fleetwood Mac makes their stage debut at the National Jazz and Blues Festival in Windsor, England.
1970: At Harvard, Janis Joplin performs what would be her final concert.
1994: The 25th Anniversary Woodstock concert, "Woodstock '94," is held in Saugerties, NY.

ELVIS WEEK! The 2016 edition of Elvis Week kicked off Wednesday, but the biggest highlights are yet to come. Today's events include "Elvis 101" and a concert dubbed The Sound and Soul of Memphis. Tomorrow, an auction will feature nearly 200 Elvis-related collectibles up for bid, including Elvis' 1935 birth record, clothing, jewelry, film memorabilia and more. Get the details.

BEATNIK BUBBLETOP!
Check out one man's cool car creation which he fashioned out of his love for classic bubbletops. Click here for a video walk-around. My favorite bubbletop car was the 1961 Chevy Impala.
