 A typed draft of a scathing, profanity-filled letter that John Lennon wrote to Paul McCartney and his then-wife Linda around 1971 is up for bid and expected to fetch more than $20,000. DEAD CELEB! Bobby Vee died early yesterday from complications of early-onset Alzheimer's disease. He was 73 and had been in hospice care at a memory-care facility in Rogers, Minnesota, where he'd lived for the past 13 months. Born Robert Velline in Fargo, North Dakota, Vee came to fame as a teenager when he and his band The Shadows joined the Winter Dance Party tour after the tragic 1959 plane crash that claimed the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. CREEPY CLOWN PUT DOWN! A Maine woman wasn't too impressed by her creepy clown experience Wednesday night. DOUBLE DEAD CELEBS! Agnes Nixon, who created the soap opera One Life to Live and All My Children, passed away Wednesday morning after a battle with Parkinson's disease and a recent stroke. She had just finished writing a memoir, My Life to Live, due in January. Nixon was 93. Get the obit.
AND....Gary Glasberg, an executive producer of NCIS and the creator of the spin-off NCIS: New Orleans, died in his sleep Wednesday. He was 50. Get the obit.

ROY ORBISON BIOPIC! A new Roy Orbison biopic is currently in the works. AUCTIONED ASHES! The ashes of Truman Capote netted $45,000 at an auction over the weekend. The writer's remains were part of the estate of Joanne Carson, the late wife of former Tonight Show host Johnny Carson. Capote died at Joanne Carson's Bel-Air home in 1984. The ashes had been kept in a carved Japanese wooden box and were expected to sell for a meager $4,000. Get the details.

CELEBRITY WEDDING BELLS! Sorry ladies. Josh Brolin is now a married man. He wed model Kathryn Boyd on Saturday. BRANGELINA BREAKUP RUMOR! Well it's starting to get ugly. BOWIE PLAQUE DESTROYED! A recently erected plaque honoring the site where David Bowie lived in Berlin from 1976 to 1978 has been destroyed. It's unclear whether the china plaque was broken by souvenir seekers or vandals.
