AUCTIONED ASHES! The ashes of Truman Capote netted $45,000 at an auction over the weekend. The writer's remains were part of the estate of Joanne Carson, the late wife of former Tonight Show host Johnny Carson. Capote died at Joanne Carson's Bel-Air home in 1984. The ashes had been kept in a carved Japanese wooden box and were expected to sell for a meager $4,000. Get the details.
