1966: Peter Green joins John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.
1966: Paul McCartney buys a farm in Kintyre, Scotland, the inspiration for his hit "Mull Of Kintyre."
1978: A a Jefferson Starship concert in Germany, a drunk Grace Slick incites the crowd to riot.
1980: Led Zeppelin begins what would be their last tour with a concert in Dortmund, Germany.
2006: Ron Wood enters rehab to kick his drinking habit. He recovers in time to join The Stones on world tour one month later.

PET SOUNDS DAY! Brian Wilson brings his tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds album to Boston for two special symphonic shows this weekend, and in honor of the events, the city's mayor, Marty Walsh, has today to be Pet Sounds Day. MEAT LOAF FALLS FLAT! Meat Loaf collapsed onstage during encore at a concert in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada last night. His rep says the Loaf had severe dehydration and was admitted to the hospital and is on the road to recovery. Get the prognosis and check out the shocking video.
