PRINCE DAY! Friday will be Prince Day in Minnesota, Prince's home state. Governor Mark Dayton has declared tomorrow, the one-year anniversary of Prince's death, "Prince Day." As part of the commemoration, the Interstate 35W Bridge that crosses the Mississippi in downtown Minneapolis will be lit purple on Thursday and Friday. David Crosby is among the many artists releasing vinyl on Record Store Day this Saturday. His contribution will be a four-song EP titled David Crosby and the Lighthouse Band. Only 2,500 copies of the disc are being produced. Get more on it.

In Erie Pennsylvania, a hockey arena has banned cowbells from all events after a recent incident. The Erie Otters hockey team were providing cowbells to fans as a giveaway, but after the victory, fans tossed them onto the ice to celebrate which drew the ire of arena officials. So for now, the cowbells have been put on ice.
