WEDNESDAVE!

Today is Pack Rat Day. This is my kind of day.

THIS DAY IN ROCK!
1963 The very first Monterey Folk Festival took place in Monterey, California.
1969 The Chicago Transit Authority releases their self-titled, debut album. The band was later sued by the real Chicago Transit Authority and was forced to shorten their name to Chicago.
1975 Elton John's album "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" becomes the first L.P. to sell one million copies on its first day of release.
1980 Peter Criss dropped out of Kiss
1992 Lawrence Welk died at the age of 89.
1993 Barry Manilow appears on Murphy Brown.
2012 Donna Summer died of cancer at the age of 63.

GLENN FREY REPLACEMENT! Ever since The Eagles announced that they were performing at the Classic East and Classic West festivals this July, fans have been wondering who would replace Glenn Frey. And apparently Glenn Frey's son Deacon has the job. Don Henley says another musician will be joining them as well but wouldn't say who. Rumor has it that it's Vince Gill. Get the revelation.

AMERICAN IDOL UPDATE! It's official. Katy Perry is indeed joining ABC's reboot of American Idol. She is thus the first judge to be named for the new season, which still does not have a premiere date. Get the details.

MICHAEL JACKSON BIOPIC! Lifetime is sharing the full trailer for its upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland. The movie, which will be told through the eyes of MJ's bodyguards, is based on the two men's 2014 best-selling book Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days. Michael Jackson: Searching For Neverland premieres May 29 on Lifetime.

CELEBRITY SUE-AGE! A legal battle is brewing between Alan Thicke's sons and Thicke's third wife, Tanya Callau, over the late actor's estate. Apparently Thicke had a living trust in which he distributed his assets among Callau and his children. But it seems that Callau wants more. Get the dirty details.

PRICEY BOOMERANG! Here we go again. After Nordstrom introduced the $425 pre-muddied jeans with fake mud; and a destroyed high-top sneaker for $1425, now Chanel is selling a boomerang for $1,325.
The highly desirable product (not) made of wood and resin and is naturally adorned with the Chanel logo. Click here to buy it now!
