The Monkees (sans Michael Nesmith) kicked off their reunion.
1991 49 year old Gene Clark of The Byrds died after suffering a heart attack.
2003 Paul McCartney made his first ever 'live' performance in Russia when he appeared in Red Square.
2007 Simon & Garfunkel reunited in Washington, D.C. for Simon's receipt of the Library of Congress' first Gershwin Award.
2010 John Fogerty's hit "Centerfield" was selected to be honored at the National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies.

McCARTNEY CONDOLENCES! Paul McCartney is among the many people sending out condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack that happened Monday night in Manchester, U.K., outside of an Ariana Grande concert. He's also penned a tribute to Roger Moore, who starred in 1973's Live and Let Die, the theme song which was a #2 hit for Wings. BEACH BOYS COMPILATION! A new Beach Boys compilation titled 1967 -- Sunshine Tomorrow, which focuses on the sessions for the albums Wild Honey and Smiley Smile, will be released on June 30. It will be available as a two-CD set and digital download and will feature unreleased outtakes, alternate versions, live performances and more. SPIDER MAN AUCTION! The Spider-Man costume created for the first-ever Spider-Man film in 1977, starring Peter Hammond as Spider-Man, will be auctioned on Thursday. The film was used to promote the announcement of director Tobe Hooper's 1985 Spider-Man film, which never saw the light of day. SLEEPLESS SUNDAYS! According to a recent survey, Sunday night is the worst night of the week for sleeping which makes for a typically lousy Monday. It's because many people go to bed later on Friday and Saturday nights and then sleep in later on Saturday and Sunday mornings, throwing off their sleep habits. By the way, the study found that Thursdays are the best nights for sleep. Click here to sleep on it.

DRUNK AS A SKUNK ON A TRUNK! A couple in Tennessee was recently pulled over by cops because they were driving with a passed out drunk guy on their trunk! They drove around for 14 miles at speeds up to 65 mph and the dude never fell off. The unwitting couple wasn't cited. Click here for the intoxicating details.
