1988: Michael Jackson begins his first-ever UK tour at Wembley Stadium in London.
1992: Aretha Franklin opens the 1992 Democratic National Convention by singing the national anthem.
1992: Olivia Newton-John makes public her bout with breast cancer.

ROCK HALL THREE FOR ALL TOUR!
 The Rock Hall Three for All tour, featuring Heart, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick, gets underway tonight in Clarkston, Michigan. The title of the trek refers to the fact that all three bands have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Fame: Heart in 2013, Jett & the Blackhearts last year and Cheap Trick in April of this year. SUPER HERO KILLED! The latest issue of Civil War II was released Wednesday, and in it, the original Incredible Hulk was killed off. The new Hulk, was not killed off, but the move continues Marvel's emphasis on diversity and a lack of fear about ending iconic characters. Get the police report.

ONE-ARMED & DANGEROUS! A one-armed man in Missouri is in jail facing four felony charges after a road rage incident in which his prosthetic arm was used to seriously injure a husband and wife. He gave the man two broken legs and his wife some cuts to her head. Get the police report.
